SAPPHIRE25 National Strike Team conducted a Joint Training with USCG Special Force on Marine Environment Protection and Disaster Prevention ~Promoting JCG and USCG cooperation to realize the FOIP~
In order to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between the JCG and the USCG, members of the National Strike Team (NST) of the JCG visited the National Strike Force (NSF) of the USCG, a specialized maritime disaster unit dedicated to preparing responses to pollution incidents, to exchange views and conduct a joint training on marine environment protection and disaster prevention from Wednesday, November 19th to Friday, November 21st, 2025.
The JCG will continue to strengthen its cooperation and collaboration with the USCG as part of the SAPPHIRE initiative, which symbolizes the cooperation between the JCG and the USCG, to realize a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)."
*The JCG and the USCG joint efforts are referred to as the Solid Alliance for Peace and Prosperity with Humanity and Integrity on the Rule of law-based Engagement (SAPPHIRE), and those to be implemented in 2025 are described as "SAPPHIRE25."
