Following requests from PCG regarding the introduction of new Multi-Role Response Vessels（ODA：Official Development Assistance） and continued support for enhancing their operational capabilities and maritime law enforcement capacity, the "PCG Maritime Security Capability Improvement Technical Cooperation Project" was launched under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in June this year. Through this framework, the MCT etc., provided capacity building support for improving capacity in towing, safe navigation, and damage control in ship fires of Multi-Role Response Vessels for those in 4 (1), and for enhancing oil spill response and analysis capabilities for those in 4 (2). The JCG will continue to strengthen cooperation and collaboration with the coast guard agencies of other countries to realize a Free and Open IndoPacific, while also supporting capacity building for countries in the IndoPacific region.
