The Japan Coast Guard (JCG) dispatched Mobile Cooperation Team (MCT) to provide capacity building to support to the Vietnam Coast Guard (VCG).

The MCT and other conducted lectures regarding controlling IUU, investigations of maritime crimes, illegal drug cases, search and rescues, also trained arresting techniques.

In addition to these lectures and training, we exchanged opinions with VCG officials, about the potential options for future capacity building support.

The JCG will continue to support foreign coast guard agencies to realize the Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
