The Commandant of JCG delivered his first speech at Asia Security Summit (IISS Shangri-La Dialogue 2025)
The Commandant of the Japan Coast Guard (JCG) participated for the first time in the "Asian Security Summit (IISS Shangri-La Dialogue 2025)*" held in Singapore from May 30 to June 1 and gave his speech at a special session on "Cooperative Maritime Security in the Asia-Pacific". This is the first time for the JCG to give a speech at the Summit.
*Asian Security Summit (IISS Shangri-La Dialogue) Asian Security Summit (IISS Shangri-La Dialogue) is organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), the British think tank. The first Summit was held in 2002 and is now in its 22nd year. The purpose of the Summit is to bring together the defense ministers, parliamentarians and experts from the Asia-Pacific region and Europe to engage in open discussions on regional and global security issues.
