2. Summary
The MCT conducted Boarding trainings using a Djibouti Coast Guard (DCG) Land facility. We also arranged Boarding training and Arresting techniques training conducted by DCG itself, and then, we confirmed their capability that DCG instructor candidates instruct new members and provided advice on teaching methods. This training was provided in a challenging environment, with daytime temperatures exceeding 47degrees Celsius and a sandstorm called "khamsin" blowing in the training area.

The JCG will continue to contribute to ensuring maritime security around Djibouti, which is an important maritime transportation routes for Japan, by supporting the DCG's capabilities.

The JCG will continue to strengthen its cooperation with other coast guard agencies to realize a "Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)" based on the rule of law. Additionally, the JCG will also actively engage in providing technical assistance to coast guard agencies in the Indo-Pacific region.
