Japan Coast Guard (JCG) and Indian Coast Guard (ICG) conducted the Rescue Diver's Diving Workshop at the Japan Coast Guard Academy（JCGA） for five days from June 3rd (Mon.) to June 7th (Fri.), 2024, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and collaboration between the JCG and ICG, sharing knowledge and skills in diving training methods and necessary safety management during diving operations, In addition, ICG members also conducted a courtesy call on the Superintendent of the JCGA.

（1）Inspection of the Diving Course of the Training Department of the JCGA
（2）Workshops on diving training techniques and safety management knowledge and skills required during rescue diving operations
（3）Joint Exercise and Meeting to exchange opinions with JCG divers

２　Result Summary
This training was conducted as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation between JCG and ICG, and provided the participating ICG divers with knowledge and skills in diving training methods and safety management necessary for diving operations.Cooperation and collaboration with ICG is important for the safety of vessels navigating in the Indo-Pacific region, this training was conducted to further strengthen cooperation between JCG and ICG.JCG will continue to strengthen its partnership and cooperation with the ICG toward the realization of"Free and Open Indo-Pacific (FOIP)" based on the rule of law, and will proactively work to support capacity building of coast guard agencies in the Indo-Pacific region.
